Edimax Technology ,today announced the availability of its VO-4500SK; a Skype Gateway that enables users to make and receive Skype calls with any standard telephone. With the VO-4500SK users can take more advantage of Skype's low cost calling features, while preserving the ability to make standard calls over your existing telephone line. The VO-4500SK connects to both your PC, for internet calling, and your existing telephone line. It supports calls from PC to PC, PC to phone, phone to PC, and phone to phone.

The VO-4500SK features advanced capabilities such as intelligent forwarding of incoming Skype calls to a mobile phone and easy switching between PSTN and Skype calls. In addition, the device features an integrated voice-mail and call-recording function. Users can choose whether to record all calls automatically or to begin recording during a call, directly from the telephone's keypad. Furthermore, the VO-4500SK offers remote calling features with FXO (PSTN) inbound password protection. This allows users to make secured SkypeOutT calls from any location by calling to the telephone line that the VO-4500SK is connected to.
